Grading & Report Cards

In order for HISD students to be promoted to the next grade level, they must show that they have learned what the state of Texas requires of all public school children. HISD      "Promotion Standards" generally include classroom and a local or state test.

Academic  Subjects  Conduct Grades
A: 100 - 90; Excellent E = Excellent
B: 89 - 80; Good, above average S = Satisfactory
C: 79 - 70; Satisfactory, Average P = Poor; below average 
F: 69 and below; Unsatisfactory and failing U = Unsatisfactory
